Being an Australian citizen is the greatest privilege and honour. I love respect and enjoy this country as much as I can it has to be one of the friendliest countries in the world and we don't honour it enough there needs to be a few more changes to this nations national symbols by changing the national anthem and the national flag.

Our country has a great immigration rate and a wide range of multiculturalism but still we need to respect our original inhabitant of this great southern land by changing our national anthem by mentioning the Aboriginal people which means a lot to Aboriginal people of this country. Coming from a community with a strong Aboriginal background it would give them great joy to respect them in something that means a lot to this country.

Another small change that has to happen is our national flag which is very controversial topic but I think it's a change that has to happen the union jack has to go. Australia is very multicultural and the Union Jack only represents one thing white English back ground which weren't even the first to settle in this country. If we should be representing the first settlers we should have the red black and yellow Aboriginal flag in the top left corner not the Union Jack. Or even replacing it with another Australian symbol like Ned Kelly's helmet or a bottle brush flower or even the Australian boxing Kangaroo but it has to change.

So in all respect to our country it might be great but not perfect and I think these changes are important and need to happen to help bring the same pride and joy I have to all Australians.
