Jordan has demonstrated sound knowledge of the conventions of writing a persuasive letter. An understanding of form is evident as appropriate register and structure have been used. Some understanding of persuasive techniques is apparent, but the language used is more descriptive than persuasive. Appropriate information is selected, but it is not always used in a way to persuade visitors to come to Australia. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of works typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard at the end of Stage 4.

Grade C

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
