Tracy has demonstrated an extensive understanding of World Heritage listing and a very high level of competence in identifying and gathering information about World Heritage sites. The information is well organised and a correct report format has been used. There is a clear understanding of the differences between cultural and physical World Heritage listing, and a wide variety of examples have been provided. The response could be enhanced by stronger linking of information and the use of relevant terminology such as 'conservation' and 'preservation', but there is evidence of extensive understanding of these concepts. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
