Listening and Responding - Dale : Grade Commentary
Dale has correctly identified some items in the listening activity, but has only demonstrated a limited level of competence in expressing ideas in writing and applying learnt linguistic structures. Simple sentences have been used and there is little variety in the vocabulary or linguistic structures. Plurals have not been used and there are inconsistencies in verb endings, spelling and the use of pronouns. Dale has also relied on English syntax and grammar in places. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D standard.

The student has a basic knowledge and understanding of the content and has achieved a limited level of competence in the processes and skills.
