Other Work Samples for:

Darcy has demonstrated a thorough knowledge and has methodically applied mathematical processes. Darcy accurately solves familiar problems using the most efficient method but has not related the concept of multiplying fractions to real life situations. The solutions, apart from those for questions 3 and 4, are correct and reduced to the lowest form, demonstrating a high level of competence in adding and multiplying fractions. However, the responses to questions 3 and 4 indicate a lack of understanding of the concepts behind operations with fractions. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard at the end of Stage 4.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
