Mackenzie has demonstrated a basic understanding of operations with fractions and is inconsistent in solutions and level of accuracy. There were frequent errors and unfamiliar problems were not answered correctly. Knowledge of the common denominator was evident, but there was difficulty in converting to mixed numerals or multiplication of fractions. There was no attempt at the diagram. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade D standard midway through Stage 4.

The student has a basic knowledge and understanding of the content and has achieved a limited level of competence in the processes and skills.
