Darcy has demonstrated a thorough knowledge of experimental design. Appropriate equipment and a suitable length of time have been selected. Darcy has identified the variables that need to be controlled, and has described a suitable procedure. There is an interpretation of results and the use of a ruler as a measurement tool is implied. Safety considerations have not been indicated. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard.

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
