CHANGING ABORIGINAL IDENTITIES AND CULTURES

You have been asked to contribute to a visual exhibition that shows how Aboriginal cultures and identities have adapted across time and location.
You can select from the following areas:

  • Art
  • Music
  • Technologies
  • Oral expression
  • Written expression
  • Other (see your teacher if you have other ideas).

Once you have thoroughly researched your area, decide on the most appropriate images and/or artefacts to put in the exhibition. Then write a summary of your research and justify your evaluation.

PROCESS

  • Select the area of research. Check with the teacher to ensure the suitability of the images and/or artefacts you select before you start any in-depth research.
  • Research your area using a variety of sources such as artefacts, books, websites, and other images.
  • Choose the most appropriate images and/or artefacts for the display.
  • Ensure all images and/or artefacts are sourced.
  • Decide on how you will obtain and display these images and/or artefacts.
  • Summarise your research and justify your selection for the exhibition (300 words).
  • Install your final product in the exhibition.
