Popular Film Review - Jody : Grade Commentary
Jody has demonstrated an adequate level of competence in composing a film review. A sound understanding of the process of composition is evident and there is some awareness of the audience’s preconceptions and expectations. The structure is more in the style of a recount with a simplistic personal judgement provided. Little analysis of cinematic techniques or their effects has been provided, and there is an emphasis on plot with no reference to context. A developing personal style with appropriate language usage is apparent but there is little variety in the use of language. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade C standard midway through Stage 5.

The student has a sound knowledge and understanding of the main areas of content and has achieved an adequate level of competence in the processes and skills.
