Kendall has demonstrated extensive knowledge and understanding of congruence and similarity. The triangles have been correctly labelled showing all relevant information, and deductive reasoning has been used to classify them. Although not all pairs of similar triangles have been identified, the diverse range of examples used in Question 2 demonstrates an extensive understanding of the concept of similarity. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A9 standard at the end of Stage 5.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
