Indra has demonstrated basic knowledge and understanding of midpoint. The appropriate formula has been correctly applied. Deductive reasoning has been effectively applied but a formal proof has not been provided. The midpoint formula has been used correctly but the solutions are restricted to the first quadrant only despite the recognition that other solutions exist. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B8 standard at the end of Stage 5.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
