Other Work Samples for:

Jody has demonstrated a high level of competence in using the midpoint formula to solve a mathematical problem. An efficient strategy has been selected and a number of solutions have been identified. The midpoint formula has been used although the student has confused 'x' and 'y' consistently through the worksheet. Solutions that are not on the vertical or horizontal axes have been provided but there is no acknowledgement of the possibility of additional solutions. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard midway through Stage 5.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
