Reese has demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of congruence and similarity. The diagrams have been correctly labelled, showing all relevant information, and deductive reasoning has been used to classify the triangles. The questions have been correctly answered using appropriate mathematical terminology but the response to question 5 requires further explanation. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B8 standard at the end of Stage 5.

Grade B

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
