Casey has communicated an extensive knowledge and understanding of forms and techniques to represent the subject matter of musical instruments, from different viewpoints, including lines, shapes, colours, patterns and textures. Casey has demonstrated a high level of competence in conveying meaning by using a range of drawing, painting and collage techniques. Casey has also taken risks in the composition of materials and displays mature ideas in the understanding of audiences. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade A standard at the end of Stage 3.

Grade A

The student has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the content and can readily apply this knowledge. In addition, the student has achieved a very high level of competence in the processes and skills and can apply these skills to new situations.
