Darcy has demonstrated a thorough understanding of the structure and features of a film review. There is evidence of effective planning, and appropriate language has been used to communicate ideas to the audience. The review has been well structured overall despite some flawed sentence construction that affects fluidity. A clear understanding of the film is evident in the analysis of plot and characterisation but themes and issues have not been identified. A personal opinion has been provided but it is inconsistent throughout the review. A high level of competence is evident in the spelling, punctuation and grammatical expression. This work sample demonstrates characteristics of work typically produced by a student performing at grade B standard at the end of Stage 3.

The student has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the content and a high level of competence in the processes and skills. In addition, the student is able to apply this knowledge and these skills to most situations.
